What's New?

  • Cork historical directories
    The Cork city & county street and trade directories for the years 1844-5; 1871; 1875-6; 1884; 1892; and 1907 are now available online, under the ‘Places’ tab above.  These full-text PDF images can be enlarged and are fully searchable.  More directories will be uploaded in the early part of 2010.
  • Goad Fire Insurance Plans of Cork City
    Cork City Libraries hold copies of seventeen editions of the Goad plans for Cork city, from 1897 to 1961. The first five editions, up to 1915, can be viewed online under the Maps tab above.
  • Grand Jury Map of County Cork (1811)
    During 2009 we made this map avaiable online.  This is also behind the Maps tab above.
  • 1911 Census returns for Cork city and county
    Since summer 2009, copies of the Cork returns are available online from the National Archives of Ireland.
  • Online Images
    You can view hundreds of online images, mainly about Cork, by searching our Catalogue.
